TV Shows which made their debut in 1957 included ‘American Bandstand’, ‘Bachelor Father’, ‘Have Gun Will Travel’, ‘ Leave it to Beaver’, ‘The Real McCoys’, ‘Wagon Train’, ‘Perry Mason’, ‘Maverick’, ‘Zorro’, and ‘The Price is Right’.



Lester B. Pearson, Canada’s former External Affairs Minister was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize.




Top Movies of 1957 included ‘The Bridge on the River Kwai’, ‘Witness For the Prosecution’, ‘Gunfight at The OK Coral, ‘The Three Faces of Eve’, ‘Peyton Place’, and ‘Jailhouse Rock’.


The Montreal Canadiens won the Stanley Cup again, defeating the Boston Bruins 4 games to 1.
